Banihal Pass:
It is across the Pir Panjal Range with maximum elevation at 2832 meters. It connects the Kashmir Valley to the Indian state Jammu & Kashmir to the outer Himalaya. The Banihal pass remains covered by heavy snow during most of the year. In 1956 Jawahar Tunnel was constructed under the pass. The road now passes through the tunnel and the Banihal Pass is no longer used for road transport.Changla Pass:
