Ladakh is all decorated and geared up to celebrate the blend of cultures in Kashmir. From September 20-26, 2013 Ladakh will celebrate a cultural festival that endeavours to propagate the cultural blend of Kashmir and promote tourism through it. The festival will be a week long and will have several intriguing events ranging from unique traditional dances to special archery shows. The event will be further enhanced with special Kashmiri and many other traditional cuisines to captivate the taste buds forever. The dances will be performed by the school kids, locals and neighbourhood showcasing the traditional costumes, the view of which with snow covered mountains in the backdrop is breath taking. The festival will commence with introduction to different cultural and traditional sects inhabiting together, and will further gear up to musical concerts, dance nights, light and sound shows, and many more things. This week get away to Kashmir is totally worth taking.
