Even more contrasting is provided by the snow-capped peaks of all the surrounding mountains. Seldom one sees such contrasting hues spread all over and it is enough to become a jaw dropping scenery for the surprised visitor.\n\nIf this is not enough, Baisaran is also an ideal camping site for trekking enthusiasts who want to travel further up to the Tulian Lake. For the rest this trek is also frequented by ponies and this off-beaten track offers panoramic sights of the town and the Lidder Valley.\n\nThe pony ride is thrilling but risky and one needs to be extra cautious.
